The first visual arts exhibition about the cravat as a specific communication media and a part of Croatian an world cultural heritage was organised in Pula by the Academia Cravatica at the same time the installation “A cravat around the Arena” was performed.
Twenty, mostly Istrian authors participated in the exhibition. In 2004 the exhibition under the name “Challenge of cravat – the cravat as Croatian contribution to global culture” visited Bosnia and Herzegovina (Mostar) with 40 works of art. Later it opened in Egypt (Cairo and Alexandria) with 60 works and then in The Republic of South Africa (Johannesburg and Pretoria) with 85 works of art. The exhibition will be presented in major cities on all continents. Next year the exhibition will open in Poland, Austria and Bulgaria.
