William Barnett from Maryland wanted to share his cravat collection with the world, so he did what his fellow-townsmen are doing – he blogged. Barnett, who worked at the University of Maryland and was an avid cravat collector, had only one problem – not enough people have seen his cravats. Why does he collect cravats? “Simply because I adore cravats and I already have a collection of music records”, says Barnett and adds, ‘‘the thing about collections that makes them important is sharing them with people.”
